Are you feeling overwhelmed and anxious? Out of balance? Disconnected with your higher self? Are you seeking a greater connection to Source? Then, Reiki is a good match for you.
Reiki is a spiritual healing art with its roots in Japanese origin. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”.
I am an attuned Reiki Level 3 Practitioner. I am a channel for universal energy to help others feel the power of the Source of all that is good.
Reiki is not affiliated with any particular religion or religious practice. It is a subtle and effective form of energy work using spiritually guided life force energy.
A person’s “ki” or energy should be strong and free-flowing. When this is true, your body and mind is in a positive state of health. When the energy becomes weak or blocked, it could lead to symptoms of physical or emotional imbalance. So, during a session, I focus on balancing the Chakras-the energy centers.
A Reiki session can help ease tension and stress and can help support your body to facilitate an environment for healing on all levels – physical, mental, and emotional. A session is deeply relaxing and insightful.
How does Reiki Work?
In a Reiki treatment, the giver is a channel to conduct Universal Life Energy to the receiver. The practitioner positions her hands at the various energy centers (Chakras) of the receiver’s body, from head to toe, activating the flow of energy or “ki”.
Reiki acts to heal and harmonize the body as a whole. As it is guided by a higher wisdom, the healing energy automatically flows to those areas in the body where it is most needed. It works holistically on the whole person and produces a deep cleansing effect on the physical body as well as on the mental, emotional, and spiritual levels.
Benefits of Reiki:
Reiki is a beneficial healing modality that is very popular and utilized for health and wellness. It is based on energetic principles and is practiced in many hospitals, medical settings, and in private practice all around the world.
Not just anyone can call themselves a Reiki Healer. Professional Reiki Healers must complete a series of courses, beginning with Reiki Level 1, often continuing through Reiki Level 2, then onto the Reiki Master Course and practicum.
A full session is generally one hour. Although we offer shorter opportunities in 15 minute increments.
Yes. Unlike a massage therapy session, you will be fully clothed lying on your back on a heated massage table under a sheet and blanket--unless you prefer a cooler temperature. You will want to wear loose-fitting comfortable clothing.
Reiki may be done with a light gentle pressure static touch or the Practitioner’s hands may be a few inches/centimeters above your body at the hand positions with no actual touch. There are standard hand placements beginning at your head or feet, avoiding all sensitive body parts.
One session is a great start! You will see for yourself how Reiki makes you feel ~ if it is relaxing, if you feel more clarity after the session. It is recommended that you try to have 4 sessions as close to one another as possible in the beginning. Then, continue monthly.
If you have an acute condition you should seek out a licensed medical professional immediately. If you have a chronic or current issue, Reiki can be an excellent complement to your health or wellness plan.
Most clients feel a sense of relaxation and peace. The mind may feel calm and your physical body should feel relaxed. Reiki is so relaxing that sometimes clients may fall asleep during the session. Don’t worry though, you will still receive all of the benefits of the session, sleeping or awake.
